Restaurant - Fabu

Location - Miyagi section of Chatan, turn left at Hamagawa intersection and follow the road curving around and up the seawall, until you see the bright yellow two-story building and its purple/fuschia sign. Park on the seawall.
If you live near the seawall, you know about Fabu. Their 790Y all-you-can-eat curry buffet can't be beat for value and the view is 180 degrees over the ocean. The curry is not spectacular, but is good by Okinawan standards. There are two Japanese brown curries - the garlic one makes a great sauce for their tasty french fries. There are two Indian style curries - one is a yellow chicken curry and the other a pea and ground beef curry. The latter one alternates with a yummy dal-esque tomato and split pea curry. Whenever you crave veggies, the two Thai curries hit the spot - both the red and green are jam-packed with mushrooms, green squash, asparagus, eggplant, bamboo shoots, etc. These do not change. They also have iced tea, sweet fake-mango slushy ice drink, cabbage salad, and a yogurt with canned fruit dessert. Between the price, the view, and the need for a break from Japanese cuisine, you can't help but come back to Fabu.
